The touring exhibition “RESURGENCES: Re-editions from Jean-Michel Frank to Rena Dumas”, led by Le French Design, ran from 9 to 12 June 2026 at the Palais Thott, home of the French Embassy in Denmark, as part of the 3daysofdesign festival.
Recommended by Business France, ESI Expo handled the full logistics chain: from packing the pieces in the Paris region to installing them in Copenhagen.
A demanding project, in an exceptional setting
Moving 27 exhibition pieces and a complete scenography abroad, working inside a historic diplomatic building, meeting the tight deadlines of a festival: this kind of assignment leaves no room for improvisation.
Our teams anticipated every constraint: the architecture of the venue, the security protocols, the tight schedule. Everything is organised so that the logistics stay invisible and the exhibition can open in the best possible conditions.
Handled from A to Z
From departure in the Paris region to the return of the pieces after the festival, our teams coordinated every operation.
The 27 pieces and the scenography were first given bespoke packing, designed for the demands of long-distance transport and for the nature of the pieces carried. They were then moved to the Palais Thott by our international transport department, working closely with our customs team on the formalities for entry into Denmark.
On site, our handling and assembly teams took over: installing the scenography, coordinating with the artistic direction, managing crate storage for the whole run of the festival. The return of the pieces was organised to the same standard, from dismantling through to final delivery.
Our expertise serving French design abroad
Working on a cultural exhibition inside a foreign embassy means drawing on our know-how simultaneously in fine art transport, in event logistics and in international coordination, the three pillars of what Group ESI does.
Our staff are trained in the handling protocols for sensitive objects, in the requirements of heritage venues and in the multi-party coordination that large projects demand. For Le French Design and Business France, we were a reliable and responsive presence on the ground, able to adapt without ever compromising the quality of the installation.
